Ethics Research

We are undertaking empirical research into the ethical and social issues that arise when new genomic technologies are applied to clinical and epidemiological problems.

In many cases, ethical issues arising during MalariaGEN research can be addressed through appropriate consultation and development of policy documents, or through ethics support and training. In addition to its work in these areas, the MalariaGEN ethics team has also, through its close collaboration with local partners and with the network as a whole, identified a number of key areas requiring the conduct of empirical ethics research.
