Adama Tall

Adama Tall is a MalariaGEN Investigator and Senior Researcher in the Epidemiology Unit of the Institut Pasteur in Dakar, Senegal. He leads research programs focused on malaria epidemiology and the evaluation of antimamarial efficacy.

For his clinical research experience he has worked with the Malaria Program of the Institut Pasteur and on a longitudinal human cohort follow-up in villages of Dielmo and Ndiop. This involved immuno-epidemiology for the validation of vaccine candidates and the establishment of process for evaluation of efficacy of malaria vaccine in immune populations. He also has experience of clinical trials, e.g. artésunate-lumefantrine in Mayotte in 2002 and the efficacy of artesunate plus amodiaquine, artesunate plus sulfadoxine-pyrimethamine, and chloroquine plus sulfadoxine-pyrimethamine in the Comoros Union.

Adama has an MD from the University of Dakar (1992), a Diploma in Epidemiology from the University of Pierre-Marie Curie (1995), a Masters in Public Health from the University Libre of Brussels (1995) and Masters in Epidemiology University of Bordeaux II (1998).
