Alioune Badara Ly
Institut Pasteur de Dakar, Senegal
Alioune Badara Ly is the MalariaGEN Data Fellow for Senegal. He has been working on a Malaria research project carried out in two Senegalese villages: Diélmo and Ndiop. This program aims at a better understanding of the interactions between the human and the parasite, and epidemiological and immunological parameters allowing acquisition of antimalarial immunity. This is done within a longitudinal study follow-up of the populations by documenting the exposure and the individual statute of protection, the clinical events, the biological, immunological parameters and genetics of the subjects. Since 2005, he has worked in the "Division de la Lutte contre la Maladie" (division of the fight against the Disease) of the Ministry of Health, Medical Prevention and Public Hygiene.
Alioune and his colleagues at the Institut Pasteur de Dakar are contributing to Consortial Project 2. More >>
