MalariaGEN Investigator - Eric Akum Achidi

Eric Akum Achidi is the Vice Dean and Head of the Department of Medical Laboratory Science at the University of Buea. With a background in molecular biology, his main research focus is now on malaria immunology, including the immunological factors involved in the pathogenesis of severe malaria.

Prof Achidi is undertaking a case-control study of childhood severe malaria in the area around Buea, which forms part of MalariaGEN Consortial Project 1. He is also contributing to Consortial Project 3. More >>
