John Reeder was previously Director of the Papua New Guinea Institute of Medical Research. He is currently Co-Director of the Centre for Population Health and Head of the International Health Research Group at the Burnet Institute in Melbourne, Australia. His primary research interest is the molecular basis of pathogenesis and the molecular epidemiology of the malaria parasite.
