Kalifa Bojang is a Clinical Scientist at the MRC laboratories, The Gambia. He has led clinical trials including the RTS,S malaria vaccine trial and the Phase I and Phase II DNA and MVA trials for malaria and hepatitis B vaccine. These trials have required the collection of substantial DNA resources with clinical data attached that can support genetic association studies of a global nature.
