Karim Traore

Karim Traore is a medical doctor involved in research on malaria since 2002 at Malaria Research and Training Center (MRTC) in the Faculty of Medicine, Pharmacy and Dentistry of the University of Bamako in Mali. He is working on phase II malaria vaccine clinical trials and the malaria incidence study.

He also has an interest in biomedical research ethics. He has undertaken training in research ethics and has participated in the validation of the web based ethics training of African Malaria Network Trust (AMANET). He has completed the one year Clinical Coordinator's course on line (with a core component on research ethics) provided by the University of Alabama, Birmingham, USA. He is currently evaluating the informed consent process of the MalariaGEN Studies in Mali using a rapid ethnographic assessment method.
