
Mahamadou Diakite

Mahamadou Diakite was the MalariaGEN Senior Data fellow in West Africa until mid-2007. He is currently leading a new imunogenetics lab in Mali in collaboration with Dr Carole Long of the Laboratory of Malaria and Vector Research (LMVR). He has a background in pharmacology and has worked on infectious diseases research since 1991. He received his DPhil from the University of Oxford where he worked on 'Host genetic determinants of parasite clearance and susceptibility to severe malaria in Africa'.
