The Department of Internal Medicine at the Michigan State University College of Osteopathic Medicine has had a long association with the Malawi College of Medicine, the Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Blantyre and the Blantyre Malaria Project. Through the distinguished work of Terrie Taylor and her long standing collaboration with Malcolm Molyneaux the department has made a significant contribution to our understanding of severe childhood malaria in Africa.
