MalariaGEN Investigator - Patrick Corran

National Institute for Biological Standards and Control, Potters Bar, UK

Patrick Corran is a member of the Biotherapeutics Group, National Institute for Biological Standards and Control, and is on part-time secondment to the Immunology Unit, Department of Infectious and Tropical Diseases, London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine. He is interested in methods for evaluating and standardising malaria vaccines, particularly immunoassays, and in the way in which immunity develops in naturally malaria-exposed populations and the implications for vaccine development. He is also interested in how protection is mediated by humoral responses, and how these are related to the genetic background of the individual.

Patrick Corran and his team are designing and carrying out ELISA assays for Consortial Project 2. More >>
