Wellcome Trust Centre for Human Genetics, University of Oxford, Oxford, UK

Taane Clark is the senior statistician for MalariaGEN and the Kwiatkowski group. He graduated with a D.Phil in Statistics from the University of Oxford, and is an experienced biostatistician with expertise in statistical and population genetics.

Taane contributes to the design and analysis of MalariaGEN's Consortial Projects and the Kwiatkowski group's other research activities, including large-scale genome-wide association analysis of severe in human populations and investigation of genetic variation in natural Plasmodium populations using high-throughput resequencing technology. His research interests include developing analytical methods for large genomic datasets to identify genetic signatures that associate with important disease phenotypes of the host and parasite. Taane also provides statistics and epidemiology support and training to MalariaGEN Data Fellows and Principal Investigators.
