
YY Teo

YY Teo is a postdoctoral statistician at the Centre for Genomics and Global Health. YY completed his DPhil in Statistical Genetics with Professor Peter Donnelly, focusing on statistical issues relevant to the conduct of large-scale genetic studies. He was also part of the Oxford Statistics Group for the Wellcome Trust Case-Control Consortium, and is currently the chair of the Analysis Team for the Singapore Genome Variation Project. YY is currently involved in analysing the large genetic datasets from Consortial Project 1, and designing novel statistical methodologies to understand genomics in the context of Africa. He is also part of the team which conducts statistical and epidemiological workshops for MalariaGEN partners, building local capacity in statistical knowledge.
