Anthony Enimil

Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, Kumasi, Ghana

Dr Anthony Enimil is a MalariaGEN Data Fellow based in Kumasi, Ghana. He is a Paediatrician Specialist at Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital and the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology. As a MalariaGEN Data Fellow Dr Enimil coordinates all of the MalariaGEN activities including: daily clinical data collection; DNA extraction from samples; transporting of samples to Oxford; electronic data entry, cleaning and uploading.

Dr Enimil is also a co-investigator studying "Efficacy and Safety of rectal Artesunate-Randomised controlled study" and a GSK sponsored Vaccine trial at Agogo in Ghana. He is an expert on the Delphi Study (WHO study on developing indicators of basic, minimal level of quality of care for sick children in Africa).

His interests include infectious diseases in general but especially malaria, tuberculosis and HIV in children. He has written more than ten articles on paediatric issues in the leading daily newspaper in Ghana and done many oral and poster presentations on Malaria, TB and HIV.

Dr Enimil and his colleagues at the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology are contributing to Consortial Project 1.
