Partner study description

This clinical study aims to assess the efficacy of amodiaquine-artesunate for the treatment of uncomplicated Plasmodium falciparum malaria in children in Kinshasa, DRC, five years after its introduction as a first line treatment. It also compares this therapy with the efficacies of dihydroartemisinin-piperaquine and artemether-lumefantrine. Parasite DNA from samples collected from infected patients will be genotyped to perform and association studies with observed clinical phenotypes.
