PAMCA Anopheles genomics programme - Strengthening malaria vector surveillance in Cote d’Ivoire: An investigation into genetic diversity and gene flow data gap in insecticide resistant Anopheles gambiae (1279-VO-CI-KOFFI)

Location: Ivory Coast (CI).

Mosquito

Malaria vector species of Cote d’Ivoire are mainly An. gambiae, An. coluzzii, An. funestus and An. nili. For the current project, An. gambiae and An. coluzzii are the targeted species. The timeline of the collection is the dry season (March-April 2020) and the rainy season (September-November 2020). The samples collected will contribute to the scientific knowledge of the population genetic, gene flow and additional insecticide resistance markers of malaria vector in Cote d’Ivoire. Additionally, it will support the entomological monitoring activities in those specific sites.
