Parasite data tools
To support and accelerate the use of genomic surveillance data by malaria control programs and policymakers, we’ve developed a range of widely accessible data-driven applications.

Latest data exploration tools

Pf7 Web Resource
Preview the upcoming Pf7 data release which provides a drug resistance profile for Artemisine, Chloroquine, Mefloquine, Piperaquine, Pyrimethamine and Sulfadioxine, based on genetic molecular markers for 16,000 samples from 33 countries. To access more detailed resource information see https://www.malariagen.net/resource/34/.

Pf6 Web Resource
Provides a drug resistance profile for Artemisine, Chloroquine, Mefloquine, Piperaquine, Pyrimethamine and Sulfadioxine, based on genetic molecular markers for nearly 7000 samples from 30 countries (Catalogue of Genetic Variation in P. falciparum – v6.0). To access more detailed resource information and the publication see https://www.malariagen.net/resource/26/.

Earlier data exploration tools

Over the years, MalariaGEN has developed tools to support data interogation and visualisation and to acknowledge the community of researchers that built the resource. While the applications have not been updated to the latest exploration tools, and the data may have been superseded – the tools themselves provide a window into specific data sets and projects and are still being used today.

Pf3k data exploration tool
Built on the Panoptes framework, this application serves data 2,512 samples from 14 countries (pilot data release 3 data)This data has been superseded.

P. vivax data exploration tool
Built on the Panoptes framework, this application serves data which has 228 samples from 13 countries (P. vivax Genome Variation May 2016). The data has not been superseded.

Pf Community Project data exploration tool
An early software framework that focused on both the data and the community, this application serves data which has 3,488 samples from 23 countries (Catalogue of Genetic Variation in P. falciparum – v4.0). This data has been superseded.

P. falciparum genetic crosses data exploration tool
Developed on an early software framework, this application serves data on 98 samples from 3 P. falciparum crosses (P. falciparum genetic crosses 1.0). This data has not been superseded.
